Inspiring Hope in Metula
BSI is committed to helping war-affected communities rebuild and recover. One way we are doing this is by mobilizing volunteers from across Israel to assist with clean-up efforts, home repairs, and other urgent physical tasks.
In Metula, one of several northern towns severely impacted by ongoing conflict, more than two-thirds of homes have been damaged, and essential infrastructure has been destroyed. The town remains largely empty, and much work is needed to ensure that residents can confidently return.
In partnership with Metula’s leadership and residents, we are helping restore the town’s physical spaces preparing for the day families can return. Our volunteers are helping with repairs, clearing debris, and restoring public areas -- tasks that may seem simple but are an important part of creating the conditions that will lead the town to return to its normal rhythm and routine.
This initiative aims to bring hope, unity, and resilience to Metula, beyond just the tangible repairs being carried out. While the road ahead is long, we are committed to supporting Metula and other communities facing similar challenges as they work toward rebuilding their homes and lives.
